Cervical Cancer Screening: New Guidelines
Science News reported on new screening options for cervical cancer: at the recommendation of the US Preventive Services Task Force, a test for HPV every five years has been added to the existing "best practice" screening choices. This testing schedule is recommended for women aged 30 to 65; the recommendation for women aged 21 to 30 remains as a Pap smear and cytology every three years.
