Interesting article by Julia Belluz at Vox.com reviews research on the efficacy of over-the-counter painkillers. My own experience, and what I've gleaned from discussions with other chronic pain patients, is that individual responsiveness to painkillers varies tremendously from person to person, but Belluz's roundup of the research data is very useful.
