Mental Health Apps, Reviewed
A number of people have asked lately about mental health apps and how useful they can be, and I wanted to point you in the direction of some solid overviews and reviews.
The Anxiety and Depression Association of America, a non-profit advocacy group and resource clearinghouse with more than 1,800 mental health professionals as members, has a fairly comprehensive list of mental health apps, with details and ratings provided for each. Reviews were conducted by ADAA members who are mental health professionals and compiled by the organization.
ADAA also shares reviews of mental health apps provided by partner organization PsyberGuide.
Psycom.net also posted a recent list of their choices for top 25 mental health apps , which covers apps addressing an even broader range of mental health issues.
I’m always a big advocate of in-person therapy, but I know that it’s not financially or logistically possible, or even appealing, for everyone. Take a look at the reviews above and see if there are options that might be right for you.
